Did anyone ever see a penny with an edge like this

Found this in my wheats wasn't sure why it has a sandwiched edge on it anyone have any ideas

likely from tilted in collar die, thus the uneven strike with a partial groove on the outside rim edge

Also looks like it could have been in a dryer or machine alike that spins as the wear is consistant around the wording and inner lip.

Ace could be right but it has the look of having been in a bezel that put that ring around the perimeter. It also looks well polished like it had been a good luck piece and rubbed a lot.

It probably came from a "lucky penny" keychain. The coin edges are beveled to keep it in place.
