Hit the Meadows at 5:45 this morning to check out the wildlife,a heavy low ground fog didn't last long as the sun burned it away.I drove out into the field where the coyotes were yesterday and waited,well it wasn't long and mom showed herself..

Great encounter. I've seen em around here with rabbits and prairie dogs, but I would think racoons can generally escape up a tree. Guess that one wasn't paying enough attention. Coyote's are experts at ambushing.

I think that coon was already dead,there was no fight she just scooped it up.

I have a pic of a dead skunk they took after 3 days from down there,they eat ANYTHING that could possibly be food.

Yeah I'm gonna say that coon was already dead. Coons will fight. My grandpa quit coon hunting after his best dog went into the water after a boar coon and the coon actually drowned that dog in the water.

They are known to do that.
