I found this two weeks ago on the same site as the AVC's the Georgia frame and other cool stuff. Don't know how well it shows up but it has a tiny rivet, and another hole where a rivet was, It's flat on the one end and kinda pointed on the other. Could it be part of a sword hanger? I just don't know. Any help will be welcome. Thanks in Advance. download (31).webpdownload (32).webpdownload (33).webp

Being seriously bent-around, I understand why you did not attempt to give us a measurement of its length. But that is important ID-information, because a civil war era rifle-sling hook and a sword-hanger look almost identical, except for their length. Based on comparing the object's size with your outstretched fingers in the photo, and extrapolating its total length, it seems to be about the correct length for a sword-belt's scabbard hanger hook.

By the way... please don't try to un-bend such a severely bent brass relic. In such cases, experience has shown breakage is more likely to be the result than success.
