1940-41 va chauffeurs license. Never seen one before, but assuming with the start of ww2, this may have been the last batch/yr of brass ones ever made. About the size of a silver dollar.

I'm no expert on the subject but from what I read ...
Chauffeur's Badges were required by all commercial drivers of Taxis, Buses, Trucks, etc.
The were usually worn on Caps or Lapels so they would be easily visible to the customers.
Seems like most of them are found around larger cities.
Most of the ones I've seen posted are from the 1915 to the 1950's era.
We live in a rural farm area but I was lucky enough to find one at an old farmhouse a few years ago.
Here's what it looks like after I cleaned it in a Electrolysis Bath.
