I found a barber dime a V nickel and a wheat in the same area at different times the same way. They weren't close to each other and I found modern clad at up to ten inches within 20' of some of them. Trying to explain how this happens at my particular spot is beyond me.

date is worn off - I think this is 2nd buffalo from change - got a v nickel - have gotten a few wartime silver nickels
and have gotten silver dimes and quarters over the years
few years back my GF came home and said "look at this strange quarter I got in my change from gas station"
ended up being a frosted silver proof quarter - got to wonder if it was a whole roll when the guy cracked it open
