Didn't Expect a Canadian Largie!

This new site we're working keeps turning up some cool coins!

Yes, I live in the North. Yes, relatively close to Canada! Still never really expected one of these to turn up! Nice shape too!

Oh yeah ! that's a nice one - I'd love to find one of those bad girls (no disrespect to her Majesty !)

Really nice one. 1800's to boot !!

Keep @ It and HH !! :hello2:

That is an awesome coin and in beautiful shape. Congratulations on a great find.

Fella you've done great at that site and the soil conditions have kept the coins in very nice condition. Congrats on another beauty worthy of display

That is a gorgeous coin you found, nice find.
When my mother past in March I detected her garden and found a 1918 One Cent Canada coin. I live in South Jersey, you never know what or where things are going to pop out?

Nice Vicky ! I got 1 about 10 years ago , 1859 I think , i do remember it was a total surprise I was using very low discrimination on my classic3 audio only, and it barely made a tone I was expecting foil or a bit of crumpled something ,

Nice! Thanks for sharing...

very nice coin in awesome shape

well that's purdier than a new set of snow tires! Nice LC! :icon_thumright:

I have a pocketful of coins from my great grandad's coat...turn of the century northern Minnesota... it includes American, Canadian and British silver shillings, all traded at face value...the borders were pretty porous back then and any cash money was useful.

Gorgeous Vicky! That would be an awesome find here as well!

Looks in better shape than the 1987 U.S. penny I dug up yesterday. Nice find!

Amazing condition on the Vickie fella! :o On average, most coins lost are lost within 10 years of being put in circulation.
So this would give you a 'drop-date' from between 1899 - 1909!
Here's a pic of the LC's I found last year here in Ontario.

I look forward to seeing what else comes out of your "new site".

PS. Most of our Canadian LC's hit in the 89 - 92 in the VDI range.
