Got out today for maybe last time this season. Forecast 3-6 inches snow next 24 hours then temps dropping to single digits next night.

Found the top of an old beer can but not the tab

Ended up with almost $3 clad but nothing old, but still a good time.

Maybe I can get out again before spring?

I plan to hunt the beaches.
I'm southwest of Chicago and got the same prognostication of snow for tonight...

NOOOOOOOOO!

I'm gonna keep going until I can't dig any more! :tongue3:

Sorry winter is upon you..Good luck guys!

we are a little better off in Georgia. We can find pop tops and pull tabs, aluminum screw tops, and bottle caps pretty much all winter.

Lucky you!

Actually we had a bit of a thaw my 10 inches of snow has pretty much melted and I may try to get a little detecting in tomorrow, ground is still semi-solid but I think diggable.

HH,

Pete

Pete, get back out there now. Should be able to dig at least on more elusive pulltab!

Hope you had a chance to get out, it was as nice of a day as we will probably have for the next several months. My honeydo list prevented me from getting out, but at least part of the list including going for a nice lunch.

Maybe I'll get another chance yet
