Hi all! It's been a while, but I'm back with more stuff! I was just taking a walk in the woods the other day (the same woods if you remember my posts about the bottle dump, and found a new spot in the overflow ditch. The bottle is embossed, "M Stein Spirit Gum New York" If you know what spirit gum is used for, it's a surprisingly appropriate thing to find this time of year, haha.

I'm also working on sorting through my grandma's bingo nickels. You know what they say, close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades, haha. But I'll gladly take the buffalo nickel I found!

Yup. Spirit gum is something used to attach things like fake mustaches and the like. It's been in use for a very very long time, and is still used today. You'd be hard pressed to find something more appropriate in October, yeah? lol

Those are some nice finds I like the pendant thing buffolo and bottle Well done

The mystery item appears to say.."love", possibly some 60's hippie paraphernalia. Cool stuff, man...diggin' it. Lol..That actually takes me back as a young'un, one of my uncles was 100% hippie...and can remember going to his dinky studio apartment, complete with black lights, lava lamps, beads in the doorways, incense. He had the most awesome little Lotus and I very much enjoyed rides in it. Ddf.

Nice finds. Congrats

Yep, cool old bottle and a readable buff.

I didn't think too much of it at the time, but if you look at that first picture. There's those 3 bits of iron to the left of the brush. I was looking at them again, and like a puzzle, fitted them together...voila! Some kind of cast iron train toy or something. Chuffed!

When I eventually figure out electrolysis, I'll see if I can't get a better picture.
