A while ago my dad stumbled upon an old logging camp while bird hunting that has absoloutly no recorded records. After spending about 5 trips 20 hours out ot the site I have unearthed many finds that haven't seen the Light of day in over 100 years. Most notably including a silver plated pocket watch, various cork top bottles, fancy silver plated spoons, and of course the coins!
1912 wheat, 1906 and 1889 indians, and a 1900 V-Nickel

Not pictured are all the big iron pieces such as axe heads, horseshoes, and blacksmithed tools. Still waiting to find that barber!

Hey, nice finds bud! I love finding Indian head pennies. I haven't found a V nickel yet...they are pretty elusive! So good for you for getting one! HH

That looks like some fun digs! Thanks for sharing, and welcome to Tnet -

Thank you!

Congrats on some very cool finds!:occasion14:

IH are always cool finds, the V nickles are scarce around here so you did good.

Great job little man! Welcome to Tnet :-)

Nice job! Indians, and v nickels make for a satisfying hunt!

Very cool. You are giving me the motivation to go to 2 old logging camps that I know the location of. Maybe this weekend if its not 95 degrees.

Nice finds. I like the Indian brass pieces and the scalloped spoon, unique items. Finding the old coins is always fun and helps easily date the site. I have found dozens of broken cork bottle necks (mostly whiskey bottles) and partials, but have not found an intact one yet like your nice bottles!

Congrats on your first V Nickel, and the rest of your finds. I like those bottles.
