I just got these from a collection out of Mo. and I really like them. One show's so much wear pattern on it , that it feels smooth as silk to the touch and has a super shine to it. If you want to know what wear pattern can look like, well this is it. These tools were used to dig dirt, hull out wood from a dugout are what ever they needed to do and they are all in great shape. When you see the polish on some of those hoes/spades, you realise how closely related flint and chert is to agate.

Wow, those are nice. Great score!

Knowing our soils up here, I can't imagine dirt so free of other rocks that they can survive long enough get polished at all.

So just to be clear....the far right pic is not wet, right? That is the actually polish? If so, wow! That's cool!:icon_thumright:

What a bunch of great looking pieces !

I have often wondered how long some of the tools and points would be in use. From the looks of the last pic, I would say for a long time.
