Hi all,

I found a 2011 P dime while CRH that I think is an error or a mis-struck die. I am not knowledgeable when it comes to errors.

As you can see, the copper part of the coin is sticking out of the dime, creating a lip. Think about an oreo cookie with the top cookie removed. The silver color is the cream and the copper color is the bottom black cookie. This lip covers about 3/4's of the coin all the way around. This is most definitely not Post Mint damage. It looks like it was stamped off center.

Does this have any value? Are there others like it?

This is known as a partial collar strike nice find although i wouldn't touch it with my bare hands again. Does the railroad rim go all the way around or just partially also is it at an angle?

Edit: After actually reading your post and looking better at your images its a tilted partial collar strike, yes they can have a premium but usually more dramatic than the one you have I wouldn't expect you to get much. I would be thrilled to find it though, you should just keep it who knows what the future holds and good eyes...
