I finally made a deal with my credit union for bags of dimes & quarters.
When I first asked he said no because of the coin shortage. They are the only bank in the area with a coin counter and they have been sending the coins to the corporate office and they are redistributing them to their own branches.
The deal i made was that i would take the bags and reroll the coins and bring them back to that branch.
Usually they charge to take coins but not for this.
I got my first bags of dimes and quarters yesterday.
I have never searched dimes or quarters before. I found 8 silver dimes in the bag.
(3) Mercs
(5) Rosie's
Is this ok for a dime bag?
Will search the Quarters tonight. JPEG_20200724_085602_4877839747660723222.webp20200724_084200.webp

I would say it is better than finding them with a metal detector.

8 is a nice cull. When I searched dimes, I would average 2/box. Some boxes would skunk and others would have a mini-vein, but they all averaged out to 2/box. When searching your quarters, keep an eye out for the West Pointers. I've been making a killing off them.

I average maybe 5 / bag. 8 would fit well into the ‘good’ category. 3 Mercs is great. Nice haul.

Quarter bag gave up 1 silver. A very nice looking 1964.
No W mint Mark's in either bag.
Exchanged the quarter bag for another bag at the CU.
NOTHING in that bag.
I did discover that all the trash goes to the half dollar bags.
There was NO trash or foriegn coins in either quarter bag.
I wear latex gloves when I search bags even they were not nearly as dirty as when searching half bags.20200725_094553.webp20200725_094535.webp

You did very well on the dime bag, better than average. Nice.
