Thanks for posting the photo...just a few miles from me yet it never occurred to me to run my detector over there!
figure this...
The rock was like that for most likely millions of years.
and most definitely before the 1700's .
Built by a past race of Giants, or natural formation as they would have you believe,
people have been going there to look, photograph, Play, picnic & marvel over it.
Perhaps even indians used it for a meeting or worship spot.
odds are someone discarded something there, someone lost something there,
and if someone needed a spot to hide something, a great place to remember
& know it will still be there for a Landmark would be that area.
if allowed, I would detect all areas within sight of it, and
even a little more because woods cover may not have been as thick as now.
and also If allowed to crawl on it,
I'd check every nook & cranny with a good flash light
Of course I don't know if this is Below church road, Or within the Game Lands
(I don't know what it means by the Triangle)
if on game lands the flash light would be your only legal choice,
Plus remember, If you find something on PA state game Land.
you can look at it & photograph it, but "Legally" you must put it back for others to find & look at Too
