For Christmas I received The Ancient Coin Cleaning Kit from Dirty Old Coins TM. It has 10 small, Roman/Byzantine/Geek/Judaean, uncleaned coins, couple of brushes, mag glass and a CD. The idea is that you clean them and figure out what they are.
Got most of them soaking, but one cleaned up enough with water and a little brushing.
I've spent a good 4 hours on it so far - no ID's yet.
I am starting from scratch as I know nothing about those coins.
Just wanted to know if anyone has received the same kit, or a smiliar one and what their experience was.
