If you liked the movie, it was a good movie. If you really liked the movie, it was a great movie.

I never pay attention to the movie critics, since they do not know what movies I enjoy, they can not tell me what movies are good, bad or great, according to my specific taste in films.

Just MHO.

I thinking of going to see it but I'm more interested in why it was liked.
Did it challenge your ethical standards.
When you laughed did you look arond to see if anybody heard you.
Did it change your belief system about racism, immigration, whatever.
Please be open and frank.

Through the years I've discovered a unpublished scientific fact-------if the critics don't like a movie, it'll be great. If they love a movie, it'll be real garbage. This rule has never failed me.

As a retired scientist I'd prefer you didn't bring science into it.

Well I will put a few thoughts out there for you to think about.

1. I had heard GREAT things about this movie. While I enjoyed the movie I did NOT see greatness.

2. The movie had some truly humorous spots which, given the content, was an accomplishment in and of itself.

3. It did make me think a little about certain topics, but I found an underlying message to be very cynical about the nature of mankind in general.

The effects were good and I was impressed with how different each of the aliens actually looked.

I think I need to see this movie a couple more times to see if my opinion of it changes at all.

Saw this movie on Friday. Still trying to figure out what I missed? What made the critics so crazy over this film? I'm not saying I didn't like it, I'm just confused as to what makes a great movie "GREAT" anymore? :dontknow:

So post your thoughts etc if you have seen it here, please. Thanks and have a great day......

Well first off if the critics like it,
it is either because of a "Message in it",
It is a "Family Movie" Or who
"wrote,directed, & Produced it"

Nothing at all to do with entertainment Value.

I watch movies The Critics Scorn.

Well I may be wrong but one of the messages I got from it was that the Human race is a selfish, self-centered race with no care or concern for others. I know there are people out there like that but I think we are more compassionate than what the movie portrayed us to be.

Who knows though, maybe I missed the whole message of the movie, totally. :icon_scratch: :dontknow:

Well that would do it for the Critics :D

After all think about it.
The critics loved the Lion king among
other childish subjects and anything
that is suppsed to bring tears to your eyes.
or make you sing show tunes:tongue3:

I went to see this yesterday, and all I was expecting was action, special effects and comedy, and the film sure was loaded with those! :icon_sunny:

Did I like it? YES! I enjoyed it alot, and I will buy it on BD when it gets released :headbang:
