Dixon black powder flask

Found this today in a very old area in Arizona. It was near where I found an 1877 seated quarter. It measures 6" long and is missing the top and spout. It is stamped Dixon on both sides. I think it's a black powder flask.

Yep,Dixon was one of the better built flasks of the time.It is quite evident when you see the top portion.Yours is one of the more un-common patterns as well
