Other than the beaches (I think, but check) its illegal to detect in Belgium.

I lived there & it was the only break I had from detecting, on the plus side the beer is good.

The farmers plough up bombs all the time, it's just one big battle site. They stack them up at the end of the farms & the Govt collect them up regularly.
