DO WE HAVE ANY LOCAL BOTTLE/DUMP HUNTERS HERE??

..................I haven't really done this in a very long time!! I would like to compare notes and maybe even go on some bottle diggings together!!...............I found some old cork bottles recently and would like to know how to date them!! Also any bottle cleaning advise would be appreciated also........................Does anybody use a sifter?? I guess that gloves would be a mandate!!...............................How do you use a probe!!??.......Enough for now............got a lot more questions though!!...................THANKS JOE

I 've use gloves and sometimes a rake or a garden hoe and scrape away a little at a time,and pick thru with my hands.

I used to do alot of bottle digging back in the '80's and '90's before I moved to Houston. Not much since I moved here....just recently started swinging a MD. I used to know people in the North Texas area that would give me insight on where to search. I really don't know how to locate many old dumps down here and just have not spent much time doing it. My favorite digging holes were pre-1940 dumps.
