Do ya lose dept with notch discrimination like you do with a dial discrimination,or once you discriminate no matter how it's done. It still takes a way dept. and is a tr discrimination detector the only way to discriminate with out loss of dept .Or hunt in all metal and dig every thing and let your eyes do the work. thank you liftloop

Depth should stay the same in either mode. It's the strength and signal shape that will effect depth. You may however pick up more iron & steel signals at a deeper depth in all metal mode as those targets tend to be a lot large than your typical non magnetic target such as a coin or gold ring or even the lowly pulltab. Also depth is tied directly to the unit you are using. Some do get more depth than others at times.
