Trying to figure out what you think are trailmarkers and signs than you do actually hunting for treasure? Personally, I look at an area that I want to hunt and I try to see what the person who may have buried something there would have seen. I pretend that I have a few hundred or thousand gold coins and I need to bury them.....where would I do it.......thats where I start my hunt.

The only problem I see here is that the person burying the goods would also have to factor this logic into the decision making process.

Anybody with the intelligence and drive to search for and find any treasures is smart enough to keep his (or her) damned mouth shut. Loose lips gets you burglarized...........or worse.
