Does anyone know how to find out if a deceased person had a bank account?

If you know the persons name you might try to go to the banks closest to the deceeced persons house and ask there. Or you can go to their house and look for any bank records. Matt

Most banks turn stuff over to the state after so many years of non-use. There's a post on this forum just for that purpose. You might check out http://www.missingmoney.com
