Dog Tag

Recently I found a USMC dog tag in a park (2", read below nickle).

I thought the owner may want it back, and have tried everything I could find in the phone book and on the web that I thought would be a resource, but no luck.

Do you think they would want it back? Any suggestions on how to find the owner? (the local recruiter did not return my call)
