✅ SOLVED Door knocker? Part of a farm implement?

All, dug this iron artifact near a farm house that dates to about 1800 and has been occupied ever since. Initially thought it was horse tack, but after Googling didn't find anything similar. Also thought that a strap could go around the bottom rung and the top hooked onto something. Then began to wonder if it is a door knocker or part of a farm implement. Any ID and age would be appreciated.

Seems like I've seen these triangles on wagon or plow horse harnesses.

This one is much smaller than yours:

DCMatt, thanks for the input:occasion14:. Looked at some more harnesses and do see a few with a similar shape. Two things puzzle me: 1) large size (which you point out) and 2) the purpose for the 2 stubs at the 11 and 1 o'clock positions. Will keep looking.

Will mark this SOLVED. Have yet to find a match that big, but believe it is on the right track.
