Double Die Obverse?

Can someone tell me what "double die obverse" means. I saw a picture in my red book of a double die coin, so I know what that is, but what is "obverse"?
Just want to be sure I don't destroy any future key coins if I find them.

The obverse is the front of the coin, as opposed to the reverse.
