Is it double dipping to post in "What is it?", then once you get the answer, post it in "Today's Finds"? Guess I'll just live on the edge.
Found this beauty on a 1940s permission. Knew it was silver but couldn't identify it. The sleuths in "What is it?" had it identified in less than an hour.
Turns out to be a vintage silver monogrammed lace tatting shuttle. (there's a mouthful) I still didn't know what the heck it was used for so I watched a YouTube video and now I am up to speed. Neat piece of history for my Simplex to pull out of the ground. In really good shape too. Love all the cool things we unearth in this hobby. Peace and HH!
