Minor machine doubling.....no added value.

Not machine doubling. It is a slightly misaligned die. No added value!

thanks

Disagree. I sold a non-plated quarter on ebay for $27. Never know who likes what.

Enamel7 nailed it.

WC Fields once said "There's a sucker born every minute". Just because you sell a coin for more than face value doesn't mean the coin was worth the selling price. Also, what if others saw something about the coin that you missed?

Another old saying that holds true: "Let the buyer beware." Anyone choosing to invest in something needs to first research and learn about their investment, rather than simply taking someone's word or, worse yet, just because it's there, it MUST be worth something! :BangHead:

Yepper, maybe you thought it was a simple quarter and something gave it more value. OR some not too smart person that knows nothing about coins got fooled by slick wording. What I'm saying is, no true collector would pay over face for a coin with such a minor mad cent.
