Met up with gravediggermax and the guru today for a hunt near the big rocks. Guru managed to pull 2 more rings today (and one the day before) both in the same area. Don't have any pictures of them here but max will post his YouTube video later with some good shots.
Max lent me a smaller coil for my Sovereign GT and I was able to get that mounted to use around all the small rocks for a while. Worked GREAT! That, combined with Ron's 180 meter really helps pinpoint and single out the individual targets worth digging with all the iron and other crap around that would normally make you pass it up. Ron did a great job on this meter and you just can't beat it for the price. (if anyone is interested more info on the meter PM me or ask here and I can send you the info, or do a search fro "Ron's 180 meter" and you'll find it.) Used the GT for a while then switched to the excal and started moving out!
Found $1.59 in clad, lost of fishing weights, some copper pipe and sheeting pieces, couple of expended bullet casings, and lots of other crap. Please excuse the pictures of the messy garage, need to fix that soon!

Also found this, which I though was a bullet at first but after cleaning and closer inspection, now I'm not sure.

The holemin the center goes all the way through, if it didn't I'd think it was a hollowpoint but maybe its part of a valve or something? Any ideas?
Also found some cool driftwood pieces that will look nice once they dry out.
