i went to a site today, where they tore down the house day before yesterday.
to cut to the chase this place isnt gonna be for long and there are hundreds of targets
of variousness here.this is todays major find after a warm bath and i have other relics also from here not pictured
best thing is i collect locks and dont have this one
now i need a key for it which i also collect,lol

it almost came out like that
i only used a little warm water and a soft bristle fingernail brush
it also has the number 23 stamped in it above and to the left of the one
there is nothing else for description

beautiful lock. Not surprised the way it cleaned up. I have several old ones one same shape but no date. They clean up great
and the metal used in these old locks gets a fantastic patina.

That's an impressive looking lock and in great shape, the shank doesn't appear to have much wear on it either, great find!
