I pretty much stay local due to work and family. I just don't get a lot of time to go out when I do so I try not driving too far. Where are you from?

Solon... I heard up at the Islands, Put in Bay area there is an island Called Johnson island. I haven't researched it yet (about too) but I was told by my mother, Johnson island is where, during the civil war times, they took prisoners and held them there..... wonder if it's a place where Detecting is allowed?

Johnson’s Island is a private residential area accessible by causeway. The only area open to the public is the Confederate cemetery. No other areas are open to the public. The cemetery is the only site remaining from the original POW Depot that is open to the public. There are neither comfort stations nor public picnic areas on the island. Traffic regulations are strictly enforced.
