Another one of my friends also held 2 full time jobs, one as a motorman for the MTA, the other a member of NYFD.. Ever since Mikey was a kid he was always fascinated with trains, and had broken in to many a rail yard to look at the trains and sit in the motorman's seat. I think he still has an extensive collection of photos that he took during his romps.
God only knows how he pulled it off, but for nearly a year he held down both jobs. Once the city found out he had to give up one, so it was bye-bye motorman. He got tired of driving a train everyday and dealing with the NY passengers, so this was a no brain-er for him.
I guess our motto was, "if you're going to do something crazy, do it big."
