It's been ages since I've found anything silver. July 17 to be exact. I've found several wheaties and even a few buffalos but no "treasure". That ended today at a place that's given up several silver coins. True to form I found this very near a large pine tree, about 4-5 deep. Also found a nice 1929 penny near a 1950s military building. Hope there is more as there is plenty of room left to test.

Congratulation on the nice silver! :occasion14:

That's a Beauty. I have had silver droughts as well just a suggestion but I made a test garden and buried some coins at different depths and one realized I was swinging too fast and missed a lot of silver cause its usually pretty deep my best silver year was last year it helped a lot. Thanks for sharing your find and hope theres many more for ya!!!! Tommy

Way to go, hope you get many more before July comes around again!

SWEET! Congrats on the drought finisher

Congrats on ending the drought! It sure is a good feeling. Now get back to that spot and dig up some more!

Congrats on the merc!

Great save, alb...gotta love seeing shiny in the dirt. I remember when I first started detecting, I kept wire brushing my dimes and quarters to check the date for silver...only when I dug my first i realized...huh...so THAT'S what silver looks like..Congrats on #1 fty, now get back there and pound that pine tree until more pop up...Ddf

I slowed the swing down today and I believe that made a difference.

Always nice to come home with silver.
Congrats on the Mercury.
