I dug this in my yard last night. The home was built in 1890. It was about 4 inches down and looks to be in pretty good condition. Do you think it is old or fairly new? I think the ring is brass with a turquoise stone. I think maybe Indian reproduction?

Because the bottom of the ring is open so it can be adjusted I would say that it isn't a high-end ring. But because it is brass with a real stone, and because of the designs on it I would say that it is probably old. If it was new, even dating back to the 1960s it would probably be cheap tin mass produced pop metal. I could see it dating back to the 1800s or turn of the 20th century.

Appears to be 1950's to later trade jewelery. If the stone is cast not worth much. If not cast has some value.

Cool ring... fun find.

By "cast" he means the stone is man-made.

The stone in that ring is probably man made - real turquoise never has that glittery look.
