Live in NH, possibly once Abenaki territory, and came across two bones while detecting on a small hill located on my open field. Are there any osteologists or forensic anthropologists on this site? Would love to know if these are animal bones or human! Unfortunately, my Chesapeake Bay Retriever got a hole of one and chewed a bit off of one end. :-[

They're not human. Maybe a whitetail (fawn?) or coyote.
