I use one primary bank to dump my halves. It has an old, balky machine that it keeps in the safe deposit room. It sometimes has problems which take it off-line for a while.
Today was one of those times. When I asked when it would be back in business, the answer was disappointing : the motor was on its last legs and the bank did not know when or if it was going to be repaired.
So I went to a different bank that used to be my primary dump bank. It, too, had a dead coin machine and was waiting for a part.
So I'm stuck with $1,000 in halves with no place to dump them -- and I'm not about to roll them.
The second bank I mentioned has multiple branches with coin machines, but I don't know which ones (if any) will accept halves (the one I use to acquire my weekly box has such a machine).
A question for the experienced CRHers : how many banks do you utilize for dumping? Should I find another dump bank even if the primary bank fixes its machine?
