dutch coins "duiten"
as promised here are the pictures I've tried cleaning them and a few details are visible now, al the old ones are duiten, aged approx. 1550-1750, usually they are in this bad shape, they were all in the clay, location : neighbourhood of dokkum/netherlands.
the yellow one is for size, found at the same spot (people keep loosing money), its a 2001 10 cent euro and already in bad shape. for the ones with good sight: one coin is printed "hollandia" in 3 rows, one has faintly a kind of crowned weapon, one has a 4 leave-like border. And one has a punched hole! a common way not to lose it and of course lost it anyway!
this weekend ill search a former medieval seeport so wait for the next post(if any finds)
