I found the treasure site this July, after a 3 year part-time search. The large tree now growing out of the hole suggests that it was recovered decades ago. My theory is that Shapiro recovered it with the use of Lulu's map, since the cache location exactly matches the known info on the map. I have my own maps, created during my search. E-mail me for further info. After finding nothing but an empty hole, all I have is a story. This leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. I needed that box.
