Hi folks I haven't been posting as much lately I figured everyone was tired of looking at mainly clad :tongue3: Like I needs something more to make it worth posting. Today that finally happened 8-) I had an opportunity today to go find a wedding band for someone but things didn't go my way:BangHead: and I was unable to go look for it when they called due to prior commitments. Needless to say I was rather unhappy about this situation:censored: So I went out to hunt determined that today would be my E-Tracs first gold ring find! And was half-heartedly all the while thinking that I would not go home until I found a gold ring:lightbulb: :metaldetector: Lucky for me that I happened to find one :icon_cheers: because they would probably have been sending out search parties for me when I didn't return.

The ring is 10K and weighed in at point 9 Grams. Not a honking big ring :occasion14: but I will take it :laughing7: Its reading on the E-Trac was like 12-05 and it sounded off nicely was about two inches deep.

Thanks for looking :coffee2:

Nice finds and super ring CoinandRelicMan.

Still waiting for my first ETrac gold (after 4.5 years of using it). I dig a lot of aluminum when I am in gold ring areas, but no luck yet.

WTG .. I wish you many many more.

Sounds like your way over due ,once you find one you will likely find another soon after . Good luck

Thanks vpnavy, yes gold has many amazing properties 8-) it was shiny from the get go and only required minor cleanup due to grass roots around the hearts.

For rings like this your going to be needing to dig foil and foil wads also, pieces of aluminum just aren't that low on the conductivity scale, mostly they are closer to nickel readings this ring read like small wads of foil gum wrappers that is lower than an intact 22 short bullet if I am recalling it right.

:hello:
Nice, great find......good luck
Thanks doc-d

Thanks Davers 8-)Well I have learned that I am going to have to dig more lower type signals wads of foil and things below parts of aluminum tabs to improve my odds of gold recovery. Surely there are more small gold rings lost than honking big ones:laughing7: Also those fabulous platinum and white gold rings read even lower some nice lady let me check her rings out her white gold ring read at like 03 conductive for me, so am sure some smaller ones read like 2 or so if white gold.
