Eagle I button and star

Got out for a few hours today and hunted a bean stubble field that has produced something for me every time that I've hit it,I've hunted this field at least 6 time over the last two years, the eagle I button makes number 4 that I have recovered out of this spot, I'm not sure about the star but it looks like it would have been attached some how to a hat or a uniform,also recovered today are two indian heads 1869 and 1890, also a wheatie 1920, a brass ring , a clock key and alot of trash that I deposited in my trash bucket in the bed of the old truck.

I ain't no expert, but I do believe that that might be a Corp Badge. Someone correct me if I am wrong. Nice digs for sure.. The other Civil war experts should chime in soon. I hope it is for sure.

Any eagle is better than no eagle, and I also agree if we an see a pic of the back it could be a corp badge Congrats

I'm back out on the Upper Miss for my 30 day hitch, when I get back on dry land I'll get some pic's of the front and back of the star posted,thanks for your help!

The "raised star's" were used by the 12th Corp for sure,I'm thinking that's what you got.Stay safe
