I used to run around that area years ago. Never thought to look for artifacts. That spool is perfect ot looks like. Nice looking dinner as well. Great pics.

Nice find! I have one posted on this site also,its the center piece of a bird point frame,post is Jersey co flint,it was recovered on a mississippian site in Illinois. its made of pottery.
