Early 1900's pocket spill

First time I have found anything worth posting in a while, but oh what a day. My buddy invited me out to hunt an 1850's - 1970's house with him, so off we go at 9am and for the first few hours we only found the typical junk you find at torn down house's, old match boxes, tip to a lightning rod ect.... So I work my way clear over to the far side of the property and got a nice .25-.50 signal on my Whites M6, the jumping up to the higher number is always a good indication of a silver coin. The first coin out was the Standing Liberty quarter (no date). After showing the owner and my buddy what I had found and mentaly doing my happy dance (I know its only a quarter, but SLQ's are hard to find, and it was only my second I had ever found) I rechecked my hole and there is another signal. Here comes the 1906 Barber quarter (first barber anything I had ever found). After all the excitment calms down I check the area in a circle pattern and I get a penny -quarter signal, out pops a Merc, then the Barber dime and so on. All in All I found the no date SLQ, 1906 Barber Quarter (o) and dime, 1920 and 1926 Merc's, 1938 and 1945 Wheat's. The day I finaly found a barber, got two, couldnt be happier. HH......Bill

Bill,
Good to see you still getting out there finding the good stuff. I would love to find me a silver drop like that. Great job. I haven't been able to get out for sometime now. Me and Jon have planned a day of nothing but detecting about mid August. Maybe I can post something again then. Take care buddy and be safe.
