East India Company Shilling

My mothers boyfriend had a box of old coins and when he passed away I was given them. This was in the box. I have been told its an East India Trading Company Shilling. The year on it is 1790. Does anybody have any idea of the value. Thank you

Thank you, that was a help and I am pretty sure it is real. He lived near Salem Mass and the East India Co was big there. There still is an old building with their name engraved on it near the harbor.
