East Tennessee - Morristown Lake bed searching? Relics?

Just moved to Morristown, TN and am getting my first detector (Garrett Ace 250). Looking forward to searching the local fields around my house. I am also interested to find if anyone here has done any detecting in the lake beds. The lake here is being let out for the Winter by the TVA and pretty much all that's left is a small stream running where the lake used to be. Any tips? Muddy mess to be sure.

A TVA metal detecting permit IS required to search TVA property. The permit is free, however there are guidelines and restrictions on when and where you may search. Go to the TVA website for more info....just a heads up to save you some trouble as TVA has gotten pretty aggressive lately about enforcement
