A friend of mine at work brought these "coins" in for me to look at.
He says that his father worked foa a company in Texas that put out oil well fires. While over seas years ago putting out fires an Egytion man gave these to him and said that they were found in the ground there.

The question is are they coins?

I was not able to bring them home so I snapped a few pics and thought that I would ask the folks here.
one is about the size of a Half dollar and the other a bit smaller. Both are very thick. Bronze?

Any help is appriciated..... VPR

Looks like a Ptolemaic Egyptian bronze coin. Here's one from the reign of Ptolemy II, 285-246 B.C. The obverse bears the diademed & horned head of Zeus Ammon; the reverse, an eagle standing on a thunderbolt. The center indentation is as made, and not damage.

WOW !!

I can see it now. Super huge THANK YOU on your fast ID.

Now that I know this I can do a little more research on my own.
I guess that I should spell it right first :P

Thanks again, VPR

There were 14 Ptolomys who reigned in the 300 years BC. You may have your hands full in ID-ing which one this is. If you decide to clean them, I hope you'll share the 'new' image(s) here.
