I know there was a camp or battle somewhere around El Jobean or Tippicanoe. By chance would anyone have more info on this, I have exhausted all my resources on this, now I'm looking at old maps trying to get an idea of a location point.

Thanks

Dennis.

only thing I can find on battles and tippacanoe is the one in Indiana ...but will keep looking

Thanks for taking the time to search. It appears now that it could have been a squrmish on the Myakka River between the union and and a small group of land based southerners not necessarily confederates. I'm still searching for more info.

Thanks again.

I did find some more info to conclude it was not significant eough to try to locate and MD. On December 23rd 1863 the Union sailed up to the mouth of the Myakka River and tried to elimate the rebels who were supplying the Conferderates with cattle in SW Florida. The rebels fought more like gurrillas in the brush executing fire and run tactics. The Union decided it was futile to try and eraticate the rebels and returned to their ships within days of coming ashore.

These are my thoughts on this based on the info I could find and I could be wrong if someone has more data on this.

Thanks for reading,
