just bought an eldorado. can this be supertuned like the vaquero i had? i like the brown tesoros i have 3 with several coils is why i bought this. anything bad i should know? just would like to hear from someone who has used one. thanks alot and have a great day.

all detectors that have manual ground balance can be supertuned.

I've never dealt with the super tuning but I have an eldorado an luv it,its a great machine in my eyes.

I have an Eldorado, but it wasn't right for what i wanted and where i was digging!
I spent a lot of time digging iron as there seemed to be little or no discrimination and hammered coins barely register :-\

It could be just a faulty machine though, as i bought it second hand!

hey shaun I sent you a PM :icon_thumright: hope it helps ya

How to Super tune a metal detector.

Super Tuning is a technique to get better depth and sensitivity out of any machine that has an adjustable Threshold control.

The Threshold control is normally used to set the level of hum in the All Metal mode. A light steady hum is usually desired so that any small or deep target will cause a change in the audio sound. To Super Tune a detector, put it in the Discriminate mode and turn the Threshold knob all the way to the clockwise position. At this point, the All Metal mode will no longer operate correctly, but you will see an increase in depth and sensitivity while hunting in the Discriminate mode.
