What a great three days! I had Thursday evening, Friday morning, and all day Saturday to detect. I was able to do a farmyard, a park, a friends yard, and I tested a couple of other spots. The people with the old farmyard are friends of my wife's family. Very nice people, they even made some calls and secured me permission at another 110+ yr old mega farmhouse. I can't wait to go hit that one! The barber quarter was a surprise due to how shallow it was. Might have been an inch deep in a very trashy area. It's my second one ever so I was ecstatic! The '28 quarter was deep and sounded sweet (I did post a pic of this the other day right after I found it). I found the George VI quarter in a deep hole along with a large nail. I'm telling you, I have found so many silver coins along with rusty nails in the hole! Love my Pro. A three silver dime spill at a pounded park?? Didn't expect that! And then the ring wasn't far away. A few min earlier a little girl rode her bike by and asked what I was doing, I said I was looking for treasure. She rolled her eyes. Maybe 30 seconds later I dug the ring and made the mistake of calling over "See? I found a ring!". Well, I was swarmed by 15 kids lol! They all were suddenly interested, I gave some of them some dug memorial cents. I'd say that was a killer weekend lol

Thats funny she rolled her eyes and then you found the ring, good work!

Awesome mountain of silver coins and a beautiful silver/turquoise ring!
THAT was an awesome weekend! Congrats!
You probably just inspired the next generation of MD'ers!

Thanks, and that little girl asked if she could keep the ring. I told her no, because it promised my 5 yr old daughter that if I found a ring I would give it to her. I wouldn't be surprised if some of those kids beg their parents for a detector lol...

wow, what luck! Congrats!

Wow, nice few hunts. I am STILL waiting on my first Barber Quarter. I don't know why but I really want one. Congrats on all the great stuff.

Nice haul. Funny you got the barber. I only have a few of those and I live in Michigan.

I have found a lot of Canadian coins here though, quite a few old ones too.

Wow! Great hunts and I hope you find some neat stuff at the big house.

I find an even mix of US/Canadian coins. I live right on the border.

First reaction... wow. Those silvers are sweet! Especially the old Canadians!

Excellent score! I made the mistake of giving kids memorials once--it's like crack to an addict; they always want more! :icon_thumright:
