This is my best hammered coin find. Elizabeth I Groat. 1559-1560. Found in pasture field. Hammered coins are quite scarce finds in my part of the country. Not many ploughed fields to go at. Very pleased to find this. I am not an expert but would say it is in VF condition. I notice there is a mark on the coin cross crosslet. Not sure what it means. Could anyone give ideas on what the mint is.The weight of the coin is 2.0 gram Thanks for looking. Happy hunting.

Nice coin Matt :icon_thumleft: The Cross crosslet Mint mark is a second issue for the coin. 1560-1 very nice find :icon_thumleft:
Any chance you can weigh the coin :P I think your coin could infact be a Shilling.
