Enough potter to make a bowl and a nice beveled point

Sorry about the bad picture quality, I took these pictures right as it was getting dark here today. Anyway, I went back to my hunting spot today and was quite pleased with all I found. There appears to be a lot of pottery in this location and occasionally I find a point or two while looking.

The point I found is the best one in this location so far, and is my first beveled point. Does anyone know why the beveled points?

Nice selection of materials.
 

If the point has a bevel to the blade, most times it was from secondary chipping to make the blade sharper. Nice finds:thumbsup:
