I detected a tiny field that I had previously dismissed as not worth it.

Between the new headphones and a super slow sweeping coil, I found this tiny silver ring, some kind of lead ball and
a non-silver, but oh so exotic dragon pendant.

In less then an hour. ;)

Is it gold?

Good Lord no! Not gold. The funny thing is I almost threw it away, because I found it next to a piece of crushed soda can.

That's the only drawback of night detecting. Some things are hard to ID in the dark. The little ring glistened in the light of the full moon though.

Bet yer glad you decided to hunt that spot! ;)

Congrats on your finds! Nana :)

Very nice finds! :) WTG !!

I would say that your lead ball is a musketball!

Nice nite catch there, looks like you did well

That ball is almost certainly a musket ball...the chances are even greater if it has a white coating

Good job!

When I first saw that dragon, I thought it could be the ornamental metalwork that was used to secure flintlocks to Northwest Trade Guns - but a modern version, which would fit along with the ball you found. I had a similar dragon on the trade gun I built, think it might have been a bit longer. Check out Dixie Gun Works website if you are interested, they may still sell them.
