I recently spent a week canoeing the rivers with a hunting buddy of mine, Dann, in southwest Iowa looking for fossils. I never expected I would find a mammoth tooth not to mention a bull bison skull, bison teeth, bison jaw bones, cannon bones, vertebrae, and the tooth from a giant ice age beaver!

If you're interested in seeing the videos, check out Dann's YouTube channel River Bound and consider subscribing. Thanks!

Sadly in my excitement I failed to get in situ pics of this tooth.

That's Cool! Sure would like to see the bison skull and beaver incisor.

Wow!!! Definitely post all the finds!!!! You have a gold mine!

01:55 is a mamooth's tooth? Wow, it still looks in good condition. It’s crazy to think that such big creatures used to roam on land before this.
